Hiring Scam Alert
Someone posing as us (under the names Carton Service or Pharma Packaging Solutions) is contacting potential job seekers and making an offer of employment. Here are the ways you will recognize that this is a scam:
- The job opportunity is a remote work opportunity. Carton Service Inc./Pharma Packaging Solutions DOES NOT have remote work job opportunities.
- The scamster will usually text first and then call. Carton Service and Pharma Packaging Solutions DO NOT text job offers.
- The scamster will request personal information such as a social security number and a driver’s license number -sometimes via text. We require personal information on a confidential employment application and NEVER via text.
- Sometimes the scamster will request a check/money from the potential employee for a computer purchase/office setup. Carton Service and Pharma Packaging Solutions DO NOT request any money from a potential hire.
Some names that are being used are: Malik Brant, Steve Jonas, Todd Horn, Brandon Jones, Susan Timothy and Wade Benjamin. NOTE: These individuals are not employed by Carton Service or Pharma Packaging Solutions.
We have notified law enforcement of this scam and we have corresponded with all who have reported the scam to us. We feel terrible that in these challenging times, someone is making life even more difficult for hardworking people.
